at home massage peppermint lotion

At Pure Knead Massage, we believe your health comes first. We always strive for a holistic lifestyle that will maintain long term wellness. Who truly knows how heathy the ingredients in our creams and lotions are? How nice would it be to have a healthy and safe alternative for pain relieving cream? We have the perfect solution for anyone looking for a natural, at home massage lotion, that you can easily make using essential oils.

There are many essential oil brands on the market: from Doterra to grocery store bought oils and even some you can order online on Amazon. Try to source the purest forms of quality oils for best results when sourcing your massage lotion ingredients. This recipe combines essential oils with coconut and beeswax oil to moisturize the skin while massaging. And the soothing effects of peppermint and eucalyptus are great for aching muscles!

You Will Need:

  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Beeswax pellets
  • 5 drops Camphor oil
  • 5 drops Peppermint Oil
  • 5 drops Eucalyptus oil
  • Glass Jar

Directions:

  1. Add the coconut oil and beeswax together to melt. This can be done in a microwave, double boiler, or by heating up a small saucepan on the stove for about two minutes then removing and adding ingredients to warm pan.
  2. Stir until fully melted.
  3. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes before adding camphor oil, the peppermint oil, and the eucalyptus oil.
  4. Add mixture to your container and allow to cool completely. When it is completely cooled it will be a solid rather than liquid. It will melt against the heat of your skin as soon as you touch it. It's perfect for massaging onto sore muscles and joints.
